My families from the East

Family genealogy
Title 2
Welcome to my site
Meeting one's family from the East is an experience rich in emotions and discoveries.
This reunion allows for:
-
to reconnect with his roots,
-
to better understand its cultural heritage,
-
to discover the historical contexts that our families have lived through.

Paths of exile
For more than two thousand years, the Jewish people, whose cradle was Judea and Samaria (after long years of wandering in the Arabian Peninsula) , were a diasporic people.
History has largely anchored it in Eastern European countries for a thousand years.
Our families from the East, whether they originate from Eastern Europe or elsewhere, bring with them a unique heritage made
of traditions,
of customs,
of specific languages
of religiosity
and fascinating, though often painful, historical accounts.
Transmissions
When a catastrophe doesn't wipe everything out,
anecdotes,
legends,
stories,
moral stories
riddles
and above all, humor
can be passed down from generation to generation.
They allow for the forging of strong bonds around shared values.
Treat
Sharing moments with loved ones is also an opportunity:
to taste traditional dishes,
to discover authentic culinary recipes and
to understand challenges and inventiveness
which our families have been able to face over the generations.
Cultural diversity
By reconnecting with one's origins, one can also develop
a deeper sense of belonging and an appetite for cultural diversity.
These discoveries pave the way for a better understanding of the differences that, despite everything, unite us.
They are a celebration of identity and diversity, enriching our worldview.
and strengthen our family ties.
And this site is intended to be a space for meetings and exchanges with my rediscovered families!
We have a duty to bring our deceased families back to life, to show that their descendants exist and that we are doing everything we can to preserve their memory.
