A bit of history

For my families, the wind had blown from East to West!

Like many children born in the post-WWII period, into a Jewish family of which

the majority of its members were no longer with us,

I didn't know much about their history, their legacy, also there were almost no photos.

We had to search!

I found traces of them as early as the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century in this Russified Poland, which I had to familiarize myself with.

Two parents, two stories

Some of them - on my mother's side - came from Warsaw, before the First World War.

The others - on my father's side - lived in southern Poland, in the Kielce district.

Having lost all his close family in the Holocaust, my father arrived in Paris in 1946 as a stateless person.

Here I am, a child of immigrants, first and second generation!
